Jake Walker is the founder and editor of The Builder's Verdict. He researches, verifies and edits every verdict the site publishes: checking current UK pricing directly against vendor pricing pages, reading the documentation and terms, and weighing what real tradespeople report in public forums and reviews.

The Builder's Verdict publishes the evidence level behind every verdict. Where Jake hasn't yet used a product hands-on, the review says so plainly: what was verified, what wasn't, and what that means for how much weight to put on the conclusion.

Qualified tradespeople and specialist testers will join as named contributors as the publication grows. Every contributor will appear on this page with an honest description of what they actually test.
