The Builder's Verdict

Policy

How links on this site pay us

Some outbound links may earn us a commission if you buy or subscribe. Here's exactly how that works, what relationships exist right now, and the rules that keep commission away from verdicts.

The current, honest position

As of 13 July 2026, The Builder's Verdict has no active affiliate tracking links. Product links go directly to vendors' own sites. We intend to apply to relevant programmes (several vendors we cover run them, for example Tradify's partner programme and Jobber's affiliate programme), and this page will list every active relationship as it starts. We disclose the intention now so nothing changes quietly later.

When affiliate links go live: they'll be marked with rel="sponsored", a disclosure notice will continue to sit above the first commercial link on every page that has one, and this page will name the programme.

The rules commission lives under

  • Commission never changes a verdict, rating, ranking or inclusion. If the best product pays nothing, it still wins.
  • Disclosure appears on the page, above the first commercial link, not only here.
  • CTA buttons say what actually happens (“Start the 14-day free trial”), never fake urgency or invented discounts.
  • Links appear after the verdict and reasoning, never before them.
  • We recommend against products with affiliate programmes when the evidence says so, and those verdicts stay up.
