The pricing gap, worked across team sizes
Powered Now's Business plan is a flat £28/month for exactly one user, not a per-seat rate, so it is only directly comparable to Tradify's per-user Lite plan (£34/month for one user) at the single-user point. As soon as a second user is needed, Business no longer applies; the comparison has to move to Powered Now's Professional tier (£32/user/month, unlimited users), against Tradify's matching Pro tier (£37/user/month).
Working the team-cost numbers ex VAT, before any annual-billing discount, using each vendor's cheapest tier that actually supports the headcount: one user costs £34 on Tradify against £28 on Powered Now Business; three users £102 (Tradify Lite) against £96 (Powered Now Professional); five users £170 against £160; ten users £340 against £320. A ten-person team saves £20 a month, £240 a year, by choosing Powered Now's Professional tier over Tradify's Lite tier, before weighing what each tier actually includes.
Powered Now also advertises two months free on annual billing, which Tradify's published pricing does not mention, so the real annual gap is wider still if you pay yearly. Confirm both vendors' current annual terms before you commit; this page states monthly list prices.
Tax handling versus integration breadth
This is the real fork in the road, more than price. Powered Now is built by a British vendor with Making Tax Digital compliance on its cheapest plan and full VAT return submission from Professional (£32/month), so a VAT-registered sole trader can quote, invoice and file the quarterly return inside one system. Tradify does not publish an equivalent VAT-filing feature; its UK-specific strengths are compliance certificates (electrical and gas/oil safety) on Pro rather than VAT return submission.
Tradify ships Xero, Sage and QuickBooks from its cheapest £34 plan. Powered Now's published feature lists show Xero and QuickBooks integration arriving at the £32 Professional tier, with no Sage listed at any tier and no accounting integration at all on the entry Business plan. If your accountant works in Sage, that alone may decide this comparison before price or tax handling are even weighed.

Desk assessment: both price lists and feature matrices were checked against the vendors' own UK pricing pages. Tradify's figures were last re-checked 19 September 2026 (unchanged since the 28 July 2026 check); Powered Now's pricing and integration facts were re-checked 12 September 2026, which corrected two contradictions from the earlier 29 July 2026 check: Powered Now's entry Business plan is a flat £28/month capped at 1 user rather than a per-user rate, and its Professional tier lists both Xero and QuickBooks integration, not Xero alone. Tradify's individual review also carries a completed fictional-data trial spot-check (customer creation) and an extended fictional-data trial workflow (quote through to invoice); Powered Now's review has not yet had an equivalent trial session, so there is more first-hand evidence behind the Tradify side of this page than the Powered Now side. Both products now have a meaningful public-review evidence base, but on different platforms. Tradify's Capterra UK listing showed 4.7/5 from 152 reviews when checked 24 July 2026. Powered Now's Trustpilot UK page showed 4.7/5 from 564 reviews with 81 reviews in the previous 12 months, while Feefo listed 270 reviews and a 5/5 service score from 43 past-year ratings when checked 26 September 2026. Those platforms use different collection and verification methods, so the raw scores and counts are not an apples-to-apples contest.
